Singapore, 28 April 2021, Affinidi, a Singapore-based company founded by investment firm Temasek, today announced the appointment of Lila Tretikov as an independent board member. In this capacity, Lila will bring her expertise in emerging technologies and building scalable businesses to Affinidi, and join the leadership team in spearheading the Group’s business and growth strategy and sustainable development. A leading expert in artificial intelligence, Lila’s appointment will help Affinidi to solidify its position as an innovative decentralized information services company that enables the creation, sharing, and verification of portable digital identities and credentials globally.
Lila is a Corporate Vice President with Microsoft and a leading expert on Artificial Intelligence, who brings to the Affinidi board over 20 years of experience across business, technology, design, and policy. She has built and scaled organizations from early stage to listed companies. Lila brings together the best creators, engineers, scientists, designers, and ethicists to solve some of the world's most challenging problems and empower humanity through technology.

Prior to her time in Microsoft, Lila was Senior Vice President, Engie SA and CEO and Vice Chairman, Terrawatt Initiative from 2016 to 2019. She was also Chief Executive of Wikimedia Foundation 2014 to 2016.
